    •   We spent 4 days in the Amazon travelling on a small boat, hiking and camping outdoors. The wildlife, the scenery and experience has been one of the best!

May... read more had collected us from the airport, organised our first night in Iquitos and gave us a small tour around the markets and during the trip he had organised great meals everyday.

We saw lots of colourful birds, monkeys, tarantulas, piranhas, sloths, cayman and pink dolphins.

Definitely would go back and have recommended to friends. May is a great guide, he is very friendly, knowledgeable and will take care of everything.

However, they still picked us up at 5 am from the airport without letting us suffer more. The lodge was obviously not as pleasant as those in urban city. But we can tell that they have tried their best to accommodate us. The food was good.

      FIRST DAY:
      - We saw pink dolphins! Very girly pink. Romantic creatures.
      - Swing on the Amazon river~
      - Gorgeous white and pink flowers make people from freezing North Hemisphere very happy
      - Squirrel monkeys
      - Spectacular rainbows!! Hugest I have ever seen

      SECOND DAY:
      Jungle track
      - Tree swing (on land this time, huge!)
      - Weird plant we have never seen, unique to the rainforests
      - The tour guide showed us how to get drinkable water from the trunk
      - We made fans out of the wood in the rainforest. 100% from the jungle! No manufacture
      - We eat “coconut”, actually worms, alive. Indeed, quite tasty.
      - Lots of Mosquitos, prepare lots of effective repellents
      - We went to fish the Piranha from the Amazon river, and ate them for dinner! Quite good.
      - At night, we went out to see the crocodiles. Millions of fireflies on the river and millions of stars in the sky. Good to be with the significant other~
      - Baby crocodiles and big ones (60 centimeters long)

      THIRD DAY:
      - Play with monkeys by using fruits!
      - They didn’t fear people very much, some of which stand on our heads or sit on our arms…
      - Searched for Macao birds. They are yellow and blue. Quite pretty
      - Hug Sloth and take pictures in a local family
      - Catch spiders (tarantula)

      FOURTH DAY:
      - Canoeing in the Amazon river. Lots of fun!

Our tour guide was born in the jungle, and he bears great passion for his village/community. We were impressed by his stories and his ambitions. He prepared gifts for kids aged 1 to 10 every Christmas because he had wished for some gifts when he was young but he never got any. He wanted to start his own tour guide business, not because he wants to make more money, but because he wants to provide job opportunities for his villagers and people in the nearby villages. He is enthusiastic about the education of the next generation, in which he wants every kid in the jungle to know about climate change. Also, he bears great love for the jungle. Even though he has the ability to raise his kids in a city in which they may have more educational resources and better living conditions, he still plans to raise his kids half time in the city, half time in the jungle so that the next generation will not forget where they belong. We are very impressed by his kind move, and he is a funny, kind, and cool guy!

A few days before arrival May got in touch with us and not only met us at the airport the day before our tour, but he arranged transport and assisted to find our accommodation. We were so excited as he was willing to show us around the market and the town that afternoon and left us with all the information to meet out tour guide the next day.

The tour was amazing - our guide was local, flexible and knowledgeable. He let us help to guide the tour to see as much wildlife as possible. We didn't have much time so we couldn't go too far, but visiting the animals reserves and stopping sever times to search and see animals in the wild was perfect.

I cant recommend this tour operator enough. If you're looking for the best experience in a unique place like Iquitos, this is your best bet!
